I'm Matthew Underwood.
When I'm not behind the camera, you can find me juggling the chaos of family life, I'm married to my wonderful partner, have a dog who thinks he's a human, a cat who thinks she's a dog, and two young kids who are always keeping me on my toes.
My family is my biggest inspiration. They remind me of the beauty and joy that can be found in the simplest moment and I strive to capture that same magic in my photography.

Such a fantastic photographer, felt very casual and relaxed but got great shots of us. At no point did we feel like we were having a “photoshoot”. Matt was brilliant at organising our 140+ guests, making sure we had pictures with everyone we’d wanted to. We’ve got 100s of photos we’ll treasure forever. Getting the right photographer for a wedding is a huge decision. I’m so glad we found Matt.

Matt photographed our wedding back in August 2025.
Matt was there for the whole day. Our wedding was very small and relaxed. Matt turned up to our house while we were getting ready and took pictures of the little things like the car and wedding invites etc. it felt like he was just part of the family getting ready with us. Matt was so present all day, but at the same time, behind the scenes and captured so many moments for us. We were so excited to get the photos back and still more than 6 months later I sit and look through them all with such joy. Having an engagement shoot before hand was such a great idea as we got to meet with Matt before the big day. He got to understand what we wanted in our pictures and we understood what we needed to do too. Thank you Matt, our pictures are something we will treasure for the rest of our lives.

Matthew was fantastic, right from booking until the delivery of the gallery. Always on the end of the phone if needed, and was willing to both guide us using his experience, and listen to our ideas and bring them to life for us, in the most amazing ways. Neither of us particularly like our photos being taken, but he was very good at the natural shots, and had a nice balance of the photos he know we needed to get, and the ones we wanted to get, without being in front of a camera all day.

What can I say… from the moment we met Matt we felt at ease. Having never done photoshoots before he made us feel comfortable whilst having fun. Then came our wedding photos which I actually don’t know how I’ll be able to pick between them all. We love them all, we had so many compliments on the day about him and Matt made it fun, not staged or awkward and not intrusive on our day at all. If I could do it all again, I’d pick him for sure!

We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding photographer than Matthew. From our very first booking conversation right through to the big day in May 2025, he was absolutely fantastic. He felt like part of the wedding rather than just a supplier, so friendly, calm and supportive, and he made us feel completely comfortable in front of the camera, which is no small achievement because we’re really not naturals when it comes to having our photos taken! He guided us without ever making anything feel forced or awkward. The engagement shoot was such a fun experience and really helped us relax and get to know his style. The pre-wedding meetings were thoughtful and organised, and on the day itself he captured everything so smoothly, we hardly noticed he was there at times, yet he caught so many special moments.
